On the Road Again (Wildcat in Hoosier Land)

Now anyone who even thinks they know me knows that I'M A UK WILDCAT THROUGH AND THROUGH.  I bleed blue, I think blue and I might as well be a smurf because I wear blue and white every single day of the week (when I have done the laundry).  Moving to Evansville, Indiana was a bit of a stretch for me but not nearly as bad as if we had to move to the DUKE campus.  It could ALWAYS be worse:-)

We arrived to Indiana and scouted out our future apartment, David's new job, and found our hotel where we would reside for the next month.  Thankfully, David had found a place with a pool, free breakfast, AND free dinner.  It really was the best option if you have to live in a hotel (which I really don't suggest unless you literally have no other options).

Living in Evansville over the past week and a half has turned out to be pretty decent.  This is the first time I have lived somewhere that has every store, event, and activity all within just miles of where we are living.  We even live near a zoo!  This is great for us!!!  The best part is that this isn't actually Hoosier Land.  More people bleed blue here than red so that's another plus:-).

We are learning how to cook meals in a hotel room using only a toaster oven, we are learning how to find storage options to help keep the room clean while offering the kids a chance to be kids, and we are finding places to take the kids to help them get their energy out.  Needless to say, we are learning how to live in a very small space without eating each other.

For now, I'm pretty much caught up on our big adventures.  We will be in this hotel until Aug 31 at 4 pm (not that I'm counting down).  We will be allowed to move into our apartment that evening (again, not that we have anything to move but you get the picture, it has 2 bedrooms and bathrooms.  There is a fridge and freezer and a deck.  We will be living the good life after being cooped up in this room for a month).  I will keep you posted on adventures that pop our way as they come along.  Until the next installment, have a happy week!
