Meal of the day (Monkey Bread to the Max)

This is soooo good.

1 can of refrigerated flaky biscuits
2 tbsp sugar
some cinnamon (as much or little as you like)
apples diced
apple butter

Preheat oven to 350 and spray a muffin tin.

In a zipper bag add your sugar and cinnamon. I like a lot of cinnamon but you may not. (I keep adding it through the process as well cause the cinnamon sticks to the dough more than the sugar.) Open your biscuits and begin pinching off small pieces. Once you have about 5 small pieces put them in the bag and shake to coat the dough with the sugar/ cinnamon mixture. Place on the bottom of a sprayed muffin tin to cover the bottom. Add a layer of apples. Break apart the rest of the biscuit into small pieces, put them in the bag, shake to cover dough and then cover the apples with the remaining pieces. (the smaller your pieces are the more sugar and cinnamon you will have in your muffin.) Repeat this with all the biscuits until you have used up all the dough. 8 biscuits will make 8 muffins. When you have finished filling your muffin tins cover the top of each muffin with apple butter. You will want to use enough to really cover the top of each muffin.

Cook on 350 degrees for time recommended on package (usually 14-16 min). Cool for just a few min and remove from pan. ENJOY!!!

  2. Debbie, I'm learning to LOVE apple butter for cooking. The other day I used it for my little pies. I took Grand's biscuits and flattened them out. On one half I sprinkled some apple pieces and then apple butter. Then I folded it in half to make a half circle, pressed the edges together with a fork and then made a cut on the top for ventilation. I cooked them until brown and they were super yummy!!!!
